MASTER OF PUPPETS

Okay, yeah, I skipped two looks but I'm feeling kinda lazy to post shit.

    Here's my latest look!
Black leather jacket, Master Of Puppet Metallica shirt, black skinny jeans, and Steel 6 eye burgundy boots.
It is more than obvious that the burgundy leather from the boots are matching the red tone from the Metallica's shirt. As always, to follow the outfit, I always wear the same silver spiked accessories.
I love this outfit, and I fucking LOVE Metallica, even though I'm not the most colorful person, the dark red burgundy is the perfect kind of tone for someone like me, it's dark and you can't almost tell if it's black or red, and it has the classic agressive shape of Steel!
    Fucking love this!

STEEL 6 Eye: Good Ol' Classic Fashioned Vintage Pin-Up

Hello there rockers,
I know I haven't post much lately, but here's my latest Steel catalog and commercial video!

For the summer, Steel decided to send me a 6 eye burgundy leather boots pair.
I must confess I'm not much a fan of colors, but this tone of dark burgundy made me fell in love!
All always, as you may noticed, the design is the same, the only thing that changes is the number of eyelets. The 6 eye is perfect for warmer season. Most people may think that boots are too hot to wear for summer of even spring, but I guarentee you that this boots model is the most confortable one to wear either during winter or summer, as they are short (but not as short as 3 eyelet shoes) but at the same time not as tall as 10 eyelet boot. So you have a fresh kind of boot with tons of color for you to choose!

This time the photo shoot took plece at the 50's Diner Happy Days Diner & Bar in Cascais. As the previous photo shoots were in black and white, this time we needed a really colorful session to promote the various colors that Steel can offer for your boots!
And which place else would fit better the dark red burgundy boots than a super inspiring 50's thematic diner?

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO:

STEEL COMMECIAL PHOTOS & VIDEOS: 3 EYE BLACK LEATHER

Hey there rockers,
I know I haven't been posting stuff for quite a while but I've been a bit busy, but it's for a good reason.

This is my latest campaign for Steel Boots&Shoes!
This month steel asked me for a "spring-ish" kind of spirit in order to promote their 3 eye steel shoes. I thought the theme that would fit better would be that "when a city girl walks a country mile" sort of thing. So I gathered two fantastic models Carolina Batista and João Mendonça for an outdoors/indoors photo shot and they just couldn't fit better! The reason why I picked these two models is because, besides from being close friends of mine, they're really different from each other and this gives the idea that Steel is suitable for everybody (which it is)!
The photo shoot exceeded my expectations, and so did the client's! Lots of people have told me by now that the kind of black and white I do is kind of a trademark of mine already, and that's a really good thing for me since I'm so in love with all of the greyscales!
The shoes have a really nice light look, and as you can suppose, they're great to wear in warmer seasons. They're short but wide, still a bit heavy from the steel caps, but all of those screws and agressive sole gives the shoe the classic heavy look that steel have and that everybody loves, and yet lights it up a little for having only three eyes! Fits perfectly with all styles, and either man or woman, it'll give you the alternative look of Steel.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO

DIE, DIE MY DARLING

Dear rockers,
I haven't made a post for quite a while now, so here it is.
This outfit is more about the vintage denim jacket and the Misfits beanie combo! Followed with my 10 eye black leather Steel boots, black skinny jeans, grey cotton shirt and my spiked necklace. If you're wondering why the f*ck aren't I wearing a black shirt... I just didn't had one that was washed.
Anywho, this is just another simple black+denim outfit. Good to go, any-fucking-where!

STEEL BOOTS&SHOES: COMMERCIAL PHOTOS & VIDEO

    Hey there rockers!
For those of you who don't know, I've been investing in photography for about 5/6 years now. I'm now getting my photography degree, in order to make my future out of it.
A few weeks ago this international brand contacted me and asked for some photos and a commercial video, and this is the result.
This is a punk/gothic brand, and the product they gave me has the tipical distinguished details that represents them so well. It's a really heavy, kind of agressive look, so I decided to give that same characteristic to the models as well. The boots are really heavy looking, I think there's no other word to describe them better, so the models are dressed in black, with a black smoky eye shadow, and some black blush and black lipstick.
This is my first "job" as a fashion photographer, and it was really exciting, for me and for the models. I've been collecting my portfolio for so long there's a lot I've learnt already, but what I seek in every thing I do is knowledge. I'm always ready to learn new things and this work gave me an opportunity to learn more about this type of art. It was something I've never done before, and it was a great experience! Can't wait to see what's coming next!

A HUGE THANK YOU TO:
Robyn Runte Oliveira and Margarida Baeta for such an amazing job as models!
Toxic Room for borrowing their song!
Jozef Ilencik for giving me this opportunity!

ROCKET QUEEN

Hey there rockers, this is latest photo shoot!
As you all know, I'm in love with black and white, and today I decided to do pull the same rocker look. The only thing that's different is the props! I'm wearing five different rings, a lion, a skull, a chopper cross, and two simple silver rings, and also a DIY spiked necklace. I'm also wearing a black bandana and my vintage ripped vest. The make up is nothing but black eye shadow and black lipstick.
The look itself is already agressive, so I decided to ajust the contrast tones the same way: really dark and at the same time bright, removing almost every grey scale.

SPACE ODDITY

    Hey there rockers!
This post is about my latest photo shoot. It's called Space Oddity, and it's (more than obviously) inspired by David Bowie's classic look with his eccentric lightining bolt. This character has probably the most impactual name in the story of Pop/Glam Rock from the 70's/80's. Besides being distinguished by his typical uncommon vocals, and by the intellectual depth of his work, history was already predicting a caotic thematic in the musical world led by his mind.
This make up wasn't very hard to make, except it is not looking as perfect as Bowie's actual painting, but you can't blame me for trying.
The strong colors and the magnetic contrasts are the typical tones represented by this magical time, which has kept everyone full of hopes and dreams about the future, and it still does, influencing our minds and the way we persue difference in everything that we do and think about.

WORLD PAINTED BLOOD

Hey guys, this was my look for today.
It's another simple black and denim outfit. Black skinny jeans, black Slayer shirt, denim Lee jacket, and, the main piece, my black leather 20 eye Steel boots!
These boots are high and heavy. Just like a normal 20 eye pair, they go all the way up to the knee, and yet they're really fucking confortable! The steel caps makes them look big, and the high sole gives it an agressive look, but what's more characteristic of these brilliant pieces is the 4 buckles that go all the way around the boot. They're heavy look gives the entire outfit a brutish and even grotesque touch. Love them!

BLUE ORCHID

Dear rockers, this was my latest photo shoot from yesterday.
Me and Carolina went down to the beach for some shots. Once again here's the proof you don't need a sunny day to get good pictures.
She posed in a dark outfit with baggy shirt and all-the-way-down-to-the-feet skirt. I pictured in colors and black and white, but you know I can't resist a good monochromatic scale. With the black clothing she wore silver accessories, two necklaces and five rings, plus the gypsy chain on her hair (which I didn't post), but the poor thing had to suffer a little for the shots, it's not easy to pose perfectly still in such a chilly day!
It was a very successful result in my opinion, the black and white gave just the right atmosphere with a smooth touch of wild hair dancing in the wind.
With the video I made a small video with some shots of that day.

MARINA ABRAMOVIC MEETS ULAY

Hey there guys, I just saw this and I just had to share this so badly!
Marina Abramovic, born in November 30th in 1946, in Belgrado, Sérvia, is one hell of an artist who started her career back in the 70's. Being active for over 3 decades, Marina calls herself "the grandmother of performing arts". Abramovic's work explores the relationship between the artist and the audience, the limits of the human body and the mind capabilities.
"In the 70's, Marina Abramovic lived an intense love story with Ulay. For five years they lived in a van making performences. When they felt the relationship wasn't worth anymore, they decided to walk all along China's big wall to have once last hug and to never see each other again. 23 years later, NY's MoMA dedicated retrospective to her work, where Marina would share one minute of silence with every stranger that would sit in front of her. Ulay got there without her knowing, and this is how it went." Maeve Jinkings.
Well, Jinkings said everything. So we might as well shut up and let the images speak for us.
It was a real intense moment in my opinion, and the proof that sometimes a simple eye contact with someone we have a past with is worth more than a thousand conversations at once. May my tears speak for this moment. Love itself ladies and gentleman.

BALD RAT PHOTO SHOOT

So guys, this was my latest photo shoot, starring me and my baby bald rat.
I called him Dave Mustaine, cause honestly, the first thing that came to my had was Megatdeth's lead singer, Dave, only cause he looks so much like a damn rat.
Oh well, as weird as this may seem, the rat looked perfect in every single shot. You know when they say "the pet is just like the owner"? The truth is, I had to feel a connection with the animal before I took it home (which btw was a gift from an amazing friend), once I held him I knew he was not just a rat, and the thing is, I can carry him everywhere I feel that he's safe with me, and I feel like I don't need to be alarmed. I mean, my actual pet that in fact is just like me is my dog, that's where you can actually apply that saying about the pet and the owner, but what I mean is I can feel confortable with the rat walking all over without being scared of losing him or something.
The thing is, the pictures turned out real great, and I got lucky for not having Dave shitting on my head (how hilarious would it be to say "Dave Mustaine took a shit on my head"?)
    Rock on!

SKY FERREIRA FOR YVES SAINT LAURENT PRE-FALL 2013

Dear rockers, this post is dedicated to Sky Ferreira's amazing shots for Yves Saint Laurent's 2013 pre-fall.
The latest generation pop sensation Sky Ferreira is now seen through Hedi Slimane's lens, one of my favourite photographers ever! His black and white signature is once again shown, this time on this rebel reckless angel. This beautiful portuguese and brazilian descendent was caught in the most natural tones and shades of a deep black and white with almost no grey shades, and a soft saturated color portrait held by a smooth red lipstick.
Between all the 21 shots, it was hard to pick only just a few. These 6 are the best ones in my opinion, and may I say, this brings me some inspirantion.

METAL MILITIA

Dear rockers, this was my latest outfit.
This post is dedicated to my Valentine's Day gift my boyfriend gave me! He completely lost his mind, and gave me original a pair of 10 eye black leather Steel boots!
I've actually been in love with 'em for quite a long while, their shape is bigger than traditional boots, the sole is higher, and the steel caps are the final touch of these beauties. The combination on the three gives them a grotesque and agressive look, which I love and fits perfectly with my style.
With these new acquisitions, I used my black skinny jeans, my Metallica I'm Watching You shirt, and my leather jacket under my ripped denim vest, with the same silver accessories.

DOUTZEN KROES FOR VOGUE GERMANY’S MARCH ISSUE

March's month for Vogue Germany is couting on the stunning super model Doutzen Kroes.
Kroes, from "Yes Model Management", has been on the cover of several known magazines like Time, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Numero, among others. She also worked for Gucci, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Escada, Dolce & Gabbana, ValentinoVersace and Neiman Marcus.
Showing up for Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2012, she only becamed an Angel in 2008.
The 14th most well paid model in the world, is now seen by Daniel Jackson's lens in a gray scaled combination of impactual beauty. In my opinion, these four pictures reveal a strong look and breathtaking monochromatic scale, which I admire a lot and which I love to work with.
Between the 10 pictures from the photo shot Dream On, Doutzen's wearing revealing and yet elegant selects from Oscar de la Renta, Balenciaga, Givenchy and Dior selected by stylist Julia von Boehm, and also wears some wild tresses courtesy of hair stylist Didier Malige and makeup by Yadim.
